Welcome to Shri Cloth Market Kanya Vanijya Mahavidyalaya (SCMKVM), a premier post-graduate college for women located in the heart of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1983, SCMKVM is a product of the dynamic and well-established Maharaja Tukojirao Merchants Association, a charitable organization that has been serving society through its academic and charity institutes like schools, colleges, hospitals, and co-operative banks. Founded 1983
SCMKVM was established in 1983 as a provider of commerce education for girls, with a vision to empower women through education and create opportunities for their socio-economic development. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, keeping pace with changing times and technology, and developed new dimensions to create new avenues for our students. Today, we offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, degree, diploma, and self-financing courses that comprehensively aim at skill and personality development of our students. We take pride in being a center of academic achievements, sports activities, cultural and research activities, and have been awarded the prestigious ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in 2012. We remain committed to providing a world-class education to young women and preparing them to excel in their careers and contribute to society.

Dr. Mangal Mishra
Dr. Mangal Mishra, the esteemed principal of our college who has dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge and education. With a wealth of educational qualifications and over 30 years of teaching experience, Dr. Mishra is an esteemed scholar and respected leader in the field of education.
Dr. Mishra’s educational qualifications include degrees in Commerce, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, History, and Management. He has earned his Ph.D. in Commerce, Political Science, Management, Sociology, and History and was awarded the D.Litt. in Commerce for his thesis on “Concepts and Traditions of Commerce in Vedic India.” His extensive academic background makes him one of the most qualified educators in India.
Along with his academic achievements, Dr. Mishra has also garnered significant administrative experience, serving as the in-charge Principal in 2002 and appointed as the Principal of our college in 2003. He has been a member and coordinator of NAAC peer teams since 2007 and has visited colleges in Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh.
Dr. Mishra has also made significant contributions to research, successfully guiding 13 candidates for their Ph.D. degree in Commerce. His research interests include various topics such as Export Possibilities from Madhya Pradesh, The Role of Urban Co-operative Banks in Indore District, and Environmental Protection in Ancient India. He is also an expert member and Chairman of various selection committees for the appointment of teachers in colleges affiliated to Devi Ahilya University, Indore.
Dr. Mangal Mishra’s dedication to education, research, and leadership has made him an invaluable asset to our college community. We are proud to have him as our Principal and grateful for his tireless commitment to shaping the minds of future generations.
